Change (or Remove) Lead Capture on Your Real Geeks Website
Discover how to adjust how many properties a lead can view before they are asked to sign up
By default, Real Geeks requires visitors to register after viewing one property. This setting has been proven to generate the highest conversion rates. Allowing leads to view more properties before registration may reduce your chances of capturing their information.
Changing Number of Properties
If you would still like to delay the amount of properties a lead can view before registration, please do the following:
- Go to your website backend by adding /admin to the end of your website domain (www.website.com/admin)
- Click Site Settings
- Click the Advanced Site Settings tab

- Use the Lead Capture On Property dropdown menu to select how many properties to allow before asking for registration.
- Click Save at the bottom of the page
Testing the Changes
To confirm your settings were applied correctly, use a private (incognito) browser window to test the site.
Why Use a Private Window?
The Real Geeks system tracks viewed properties using browser cookies. Cookies store small pieces of data that remember a visitor’s activity on your site. Since cookies persist across sessions, testing in a regular browser window may not reflect your changes.
A private window allows you to view the site as if you were a brand-new visitor, ensuring accurate testing.
How to Open a Private Window in Different Browsers:
- Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)
- Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + P (Mac)
- Safari: Click File > New Private Window
- Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Is this different from setting registration to 1 listing?
Yes. Setting it to 1 listing still requires visitors to register after viewing one property. Setting it to 0 removes registration prompts entirely. -
Will this impact my existing leads?
No. This change only affects future visitors. Your current leads remain unchanged. -
Does this disable all forms on my Website?
No. This only removes the Lead Capture on Property registration prompt. Other forms, such as contact forms or valuation pages, are not affected. -
Why is lead capture recommended?
Lead capture helps you convert website traffic into identifiable leads so you can follow up and build predictable income.
