Connecting Yahoo or AOL Email to Real Geeks CRM

Yahoo and AOL have stricter security measures compared to other email providers like Microsoft and Google, making integration with Real Geeks require a few more steps.

 


Setting Up Yahoo Email Integration

Yahoo has updated its security policies, making app-specific passwords more secure. If you experience difficulties generating a password, make sure you're using a non-incognito browser where you have signed into your Yahoo account for at least a few days.

Step 1 - Generate an App Password for Yahoo

  1. Sign in to your Yahoo Account Security page.
  2. Click Generate app password

  3. In the text field, enter a name for your app (e.g., “Real Geeks”).
  4. Click Generate password.

  5. Click Copy 


Connect Yahoo Email to Real Geeks

  1. Go to the Real Geeks Email Integration page.
  2. Click Setup Now
  3. Select Other SMTP


  4. Enter your Yahoo email address and the generated password.
  5. Click Save.

 


Setting Up AOL Email Integration

To link your AOL email with Real Geeks, you must create an app-specific password for third-party access.

Step 1 - Generate an App Password for AOL

  1. Sign in to your AOL Account Security page.
  2. Click Generate app password

  3. Enter a name for your app (e.g., “Real Geeks”)

  5. Copy the Password

Step 2 - Connect AOL Email to Real Geeks

  1. Go to the Real Geeks Email Integration page.
  2. Click Setup Now
  3. Select Other SMTP

  4. Enter your AOL email address and the generated password.
  5. Click Save.

SMTP Address Information

For AOL email integration, the SMTP address must be: smtp.aol.com
