Featured Properties Page

A Featured Properties Page is a page that you can create within your website to display properties of your choosing. You can briefly describe the overview of the page in the content area by writing customized copy and including pictures of relevant properties you have worked on.

The key to these types of pages is the ability to create a custom search and display a selected list of properties based on your predefined search parameters.

Creating and Defining a Feature Property Listing Search

  1. Log in to your website's administrative backend at  www.yourdomain.com/admin.
  1. Navigate to your list of content pages and either select a page to edit or create a new content page.
  1. Now that you are in the edit page function, make sure that your page template is set to “Featured Property Page”. This will allow the properties to paginate so you can list more than 20. Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find “Property Display Search Options”. Click this tab to expand it.
  1. There are several items that can be adjusted here to your liking:
  • Listing header- The setting for the list of properties heading.
  • Number of properties - The number of properties to be displayed. This will only paginate if the template is set to  Featured Property Page.
  • Property display location - Can either be set to be positioned below (default) or above the content of the page.
  • Create Search / Edit Search - This is where you create and define your search.

  1. Clicking the “Create Search” / “Edit Search” will bring you to the section where you can begin defining your search.
  2. A new window will pop up that will display a list of options available to you to begin refining your search. You have the ability to create custom searches that only display a certain property type, price range, neighborhood or even properties that are listed by you or your office. To display listings that belong to specific agent(s), you would select the  Agent ID field and select the agent's ID from the list. To display listings that belong to specific office(s), you would select the  Office ID field and select the office ID from the list. You can select multiple options from the list by holding down control (command ⌘ on Mac) on your keyboard while clicking.
  3. Once you are satisfied with your search terms, choose your sort order and conduct the search. This will display the number of matching properties to your search. Click yes if satisfied or refine further if you wish.
  4. After you are done building your Featured Property Listings, don't forget to hit save before you leave!
