Send video messages from the CRM via email or text. Deliver a video message to multiple contacts at once in an eBlast. Or distribute video messages on an automated basis by adding them to Workflows.

Please note: Video message recording is only supported by Chrome and Firefox browsers at this time. Recording video messages is not supported by iOS devices or the Safari browser.

 

Accessing and Organizing Your Video Library

Any video messages you save will be stored in your Video Library.

To access your Video Library, click here to open the Workflow-Drip system. Next, select "Videos" in the top navigation bar. From here you can add and manage video messages. 

To add a video to your library, select Workflow-Drip_Add_a_Video_Icon.png in the top right-hand corner of the page.

Give your video a name and add it to a category (optional). Then, record your video or upload an existing video from your computer. 

To record a new video: 

    1. Click the red circle to begin recording and the white square to stop recording.
    2. Clicking the white triangle will play back your video. If you are unsatisfied with your recording, click the red circle to begin recording a new video.
    3. Once satisfied with your recording, click Workflow-Drip_Save_Icon.png to save the video to your library.

To upload a video from your computer: 

    1. Click Upload_Video_Tab.png then Browse_Icon.png to select a video file from your computer.
    2. Click Workflow-Drip_Save_Icon.png to save the video to your library.

To edit an existing video in your library, click Workflow-Drip_Edit_Icon.png on the right-hand side of the video. From here you can:

    • Rename or categorize your video.
    • Create a new email template with your video that can be used in your Workflows as well as the eBlast feature by clicking Add_Email_Template_Icon.png 
    • Create a new SMS template with your video that can be used in your Workflows by clicking Add_SMS_Template_Icon.png 
    • Download a video you have recorded by clicking the three white dots in the bottom right-hand corner of the video and selecting "Download".
    • Delete the video from your library by clicking Delete_Video_Icon.png

Be sure to click Workflow-Drip_Save_Icon.png to save any updates made to your video.

Sending Video Messages from the CRM

Sending a Video in an Email

To add a video to an email composed in your CRM simply begin composing your email and click Add_Video_Icon.png once you are ready to add your video.

To record a new video: 

  1. Click the red circle to begin recording and the white square to stop recording.
  2. Clicking the white triangle will play back your video. If you are unsatisfied with your recording, click the red circle to begin recording a new video.
  3. Once satisfied with your recording, give your video a name and click Save.png to add it to the email.

To add a video from your library: 

  1. Click Select_A_Video.png
  2. Locate the video you wish to include and click Insert.png to add it to the email.

Once you have recorded or selected a video, a five second GIF preview will be added to your email.

When the GIF preview is clicked, the user will be taken to a page on your Real Geeks website dedicated to the video message. Once your message has been viewed, the user can easily continue browsing your website.

Sending a Video in a Text

To add a video to a text composed in your CRM simply begin composing your text and click SMS_Add_Video_Icon.png once you are ready to add your video.

To record a new video: 

  1. Click the red circle to begin recording and the white square to stop recording.
  2. Clicking the white triangle will play back your video. If you are unsatisfied with your recording, click the red circle to begin recording a new video.
  3. Once satisfied with your recording, give your video a name and click Save.png to add it to the email.

To add a video from your library: 

  1. Click Select_A_Video.png
  2. Locate the video you wish to include and click Insert.png to add it to the email.

A link to your video will be added to the text message.

When the video link is clicked, the user will be taken to a page on your Real Geeks website dedicated to the video message. Once your message has been viewed, the user can easily continue browsing your website.

Adding Videos to CRM Email Templates

To update the email templates in your CRM to include video messages or create new email templates utilizing the Video Messaging feature, head over to your CRM Email Templates and either:

  • Open an existing email template you wish to update by selecting Edit_Icon.png 
  • Create a new template by selecting Create_New_Icon.png
  • Or add to a template from the Real Geeks Template Library by selecting Library_Icon.png

Then, click Add_Video_Icon.png once you are ready to add your video to the email template.

To record a new video: 

  1. Click the red circle to begin recording and the white square to stop recording.
  2. Clicking the white triangle will play back your video. If you are unsatisfied with your recording, click the red circle to begin recording a new video.
  3. Once satisfied with your recording, give your video a name and click Save.png to add it to the email.

To add a video from your library: 

  1. Click Select_A_Video.png
  2. Locate the video you wish to include and click Insert.png to add it to the email.

After recording or selecting a video, a five second GIF preview will be added to the email template.

When the GIF preview is clicked, the user will be taken to a page on your Real Geeks website dedicated to the video message. Once your message has been viewed, the user can easily continue browsing your website.

To save your email template click Update_Icon.png or Save.png

FAQs

"How long can my video message be?"

You can record up to 10 minutes of video. There is a size limit of 1 GB for uploaded videos. Keep in mind, the larger a recorded video is, the longer it will take to process and send.

"I have multiple users in my CRM. Can everyone record videos?"

Yes. All CRM users will be able to record, save, and add videos to emails and text messages in the CRM. However, only users with Workflow-Drip permissions will have access to edit or delete videos.

"Is 4k video supported?"

Yes.

"How do I record a video in the CRM app?"

Recording video messages in the CRM app is not an option at this time. You can always add video messages to an email template following these instructions. You will then be able to select your template from the CRM app to send the included video message via email. 

"Can I add videos to my CRM text templates?"

We do plan to allow video messages to be added to CRM text templates, but it is not an option at this time.

"How will I know when someone watched my video?"

We do plan to allow CRM users to track when a video message has been viewed, but it is not an option at this time.
