How to Set Up Split Billing with a Partner in Real Geeks

Learn how to enable 50/50 split billing so you and your business partner can evenly share your Real Geeks subscription cost

Setting up split billing allows two partners to evenly divide the cost of a Real Geeks subscription. This option is helpful for business partners who share a website and CRM but want separate payment methods.

Split billing is only available as a 50/50 split and cannot be customized to other percentages.

Need to Know

  • Split billing is only available as a 50/50 cost split

  • Both partners must have their own Real Geeks account login

  • Each partner must add their own valid payment method

  • Split billing must be set up through your Real Geeks Accounts portal

What Is Split Billing?

Split billing allows two partners to equally share the monthly subscription cost for one Real Geeks platform. Instead of charging a single payment method for the full amount, the system automatically charges each party 50% of the total invoice.

The split must be exactly 50/50. Real Geeks does not support custom billing percentages, partial service splits, or multi-party billing arrangements.

Requirements to Get Started

Before requesting split billing, make sure:

  • You are the Site Owner

  • You have agreed to a 50/50 split of the full platform cost

  • You have your co-marketer’s full name, email address, and phone number

  • You know which Real Geeks Website will be split (if you own multiple platforms)

If you own more than one platform, split billing can be enabled per platform. You may split one platform and not another, and you may use different co-marketers for different platforms.

How to Request Split Billing Setup

Split billing must be initiated by our Billing team.

  1. Email billing@realgeeks.com

  2. Include your co-marketer’s name, email address and phone number

  3. Specify the Real Geeks Website to be split

Once received, we will create an account for your co-marketer so they can log in to accounts.realgeeks.com and add their payment method.

Important:

  • You will continue to be billed the full amount until your co-marketer adds their credit card to their account

  • For security reasons, our support team cannot accept credit card details over a standard phone call. We’ll schedule a time to collect your information over a secure phone line.

  • Split billing is not active until both payment methods are successfully added

What Happens If Payment Fails?

The Site Owner is ultimately responsible for the full platform balance.

If your co-marketer’s credit card fails:

  • We will attempt to collect payment for up to 30 days

  • If payment is not resolved within 30 days, the remaining balance will be charged to the Site Owner’s card on file

If your co-marketer requests removal of their card:

  • We will comply with their request

  • We will notify you of the change

  • You will be billed 100% of the platform cost on your next billing cycle

CRM Access and Permissions for Co-Marketers

Split billing does not automatically grant access to the Lead Manager .

The Site Owner maintains full control over access to the Website and CRM.

To grant your partner access to the CRM:

  1. In the Real Geeks CRM, go to Users > Users List

  2. Click New User

  3. Enter your partner's email address

  4. Select the appropriate permissions level

You can control whether they have CRM access, Website editing access, or both. If you need assistance adjusting permissions, contact support@realgeeks.com.

Vendor Approval for Lenders

  1. Send all required vendor paperwork to billing@realgeeks.com

  2. Our team will begin the vendor approval process
