Video messages create faster, more personal connections. Rather than writing a long email, you can record a short message that shows your face, your tone, and your expertise. The Real Geeks CRM includes a built-in video tool for both email and text, and it works on desktop and in the mobile app.

How to Send a Video Message

Through the CRM on Your Computer

You can send a video message directly from the Real Geeks CRM using either email or text.

  1. Open your Leads list or navigate to a Lead Profile.

  2. Choose Email or Text to open a new message window.

  3. Click the Add Video icon.

  4. Choose one of the following:

    • Record now to capture a real-time, personalized video.

    • Upload a video to reuse an existing or pre-recorded clip.

  5. Add your message text if needed, then click Send.

How leads view your video:
The message includes a link that takes the lead to your website to watch the video. This helps bring them back to your site and encourages more browsing.

Optional for email thumbnails:
If you are using a pre-recorded video, you can add a thumbnail image or GIF inside an email and link it to the video page on your website. This is email-only and adds visual appeal.


Through the Mobile App

The Real Geeks Mobile CRM App makes it easy to record and send videos on the go.

To send a video message through email:

  1. Open the Leads profile in your mobile CRM app.

  2. Tap the Actions button.

  3. Select Email.

  4. Tap the Video Camera icon.

  5. Choose to either record a new video or select one from your mobile device.

  6. Send your message when ready.

To send a video message through text:

  1. Open the Leads profile in your mobile CRM app.

  2. Tap the Actions button.

  3. Select Text.

  4. Tap the plus (+) symbol to open your action menu.

  5. Select Video, then record or upload your message.

  6. Tap Send when finished.

Pro Tip: Respond quickly when a lead favorites a property or starts a new search. A short video referencing that listing or area helps you stand out and create a personal connection instantly.

Example script:

“Hi [Lead Name], I saw that you favorited the home on Maple Street — great choice! I wanted to send a quick video to share what’s happening in that neighborhood and what similar homes are selling for.

[Insert feedback or insights about this property or nearby listings.]

Let me know if you’d like me to keep an eye out for other properties that match what you’re looking for.”


2. When a lead registers or views multiple homes

Example script:

“Hey [Lead Name], I noticed you’ve been checking out homes in [City or Area]. That’s a great market — lots of movement lately and some really strong opportunities. I wanted to send this quick video to keep you updated on what’s happening right now and make sure you have the latest information.

[Insert feedback or insights about current trends, inventory levels, or new listings.]

What type of home are you hoping to find here?”


3. After a showing or meeting

Example script:

“Hi [Lead Name], it was great connecting earlier today! I wanted to send a quick video recapping what we saw and what’s coming next.

[Insert summary of the showing, key takeaways, or next steps.]

There are also a couple of other listings I think might fit what you’re describing — would you like me to send those your way?”


4. When providing a market update or sharing a new listing

Example script:

“Hey [Lead Name], I wanted to send this quick video with an update on what’s happening in [Neighborhood or Market]. Inventory has shifted a bit recently and there are some new opportunities worth watching.

5. As part of a welcome message or automated workflow

Example script:

“Hi, I’m [Your Name] with [Your Brokerage]. Thanks for visiting my website! I wanted to send a quick video to introduce myself and help you get started with your home search.

You’ll get updates on homes that match your criteria, but if you ever want me to refine your search or highlight certain areas, just reply here — I’m happy to help.”
