Overview
Market Report pages give your clients direct access to current market data for specific areas in your market. These pages are powerful tools for lead capture, showcasing your local expertise, and giving potential buyers or sellers a reason to return to your website.
Each Market Report page displays active and pending listings, and if your MLS board allows it, sold properties as well. Visitors can also generate their own custom market reports from your page and save them to their profile for easy access later.
Creating a Market Report Content Page
To build a Market Report page, start by accessing the Market Report feature in your website backend.
- Go to your website backend by adding /admin to the end of your website domain (example: www.website.com/admin)
- Click Market Report Pages from the admin panel
- Click Add Market Report Page to create a new page
Once inside the Market Report page builder, you’ll fill out the following fields:
Parent
Choose where this page belongs in your site structure. Leave blank to place it at the root level of your site.
Example: If you’re creating a sub-page like “Downtown Austin Market Report,” you can choose “Austin Market Report” as the parent to keep it organized under that main page.
Title
This is the visible name of your page and will appear at the top of the browser tab and on the page itself.
Example: “Austin Market Report”
Meta Description
This is the short summary that search engines display in results.
Example: “Discover the latest real estate trends and housing activity in Austin, TX with our up-to-date market report.”
Meta Keywords
Add a few search terms related to the area and content.
Example: austin real estate, market trends, home sales in austin
Anchor Text / Page Name
This label appears in your website’s navigation or sidebar, if added. It should be brief and descriptive.
Example: “Austin Market Report”
Slug
This is the custom part of the URL for this page.
Example: /austin-market-report
Header
This is the main heading that appears on the live page. Use something similar to the Title.
Example: “Austin Real Estate Market Report”
Page Content
Write a brief introduction that gives context about the area and the value of reviewing the local housing market. Mention that users can view active listings and recently sold properties, and that they can customize reports for other areas.
Create Search
Defines the properties that will be shown in this market report
This is where you set the core filters for the report, such as city, property type, price range, etc.
Number of Search Results
Controls how many property listings appear in each table on the report.
Example: show 10 or 20 results per section.
Sold Within
Defines how recent the sold listings must be to show in the “Recently Sold” section.
Example: 6 months, 1 year, etc.
Personalizing the Market Report
After setting up the basic details of your Market Report page, you’ll need to define which listings will appear by setting up your search criteria.
- Click Create Search
- Use the criteria menu to build out the filters for your report (such as location, property type, price range, beds/baths, etc.)
- Click Create Search again to review the results
- Click Yes to confirm and apply the search to the Market Report page
This process allows you to target listings that match specific market conditions or locations. By narrowing the focus, you can create highly relevant reports that generate interest in specific areas or property types.
Once published, leads can view the Market Report page, and if they are logged into your site, the report will be saved to their profile automatically. They’ll receive ongoing updates as listings in that market change—keeping them engaged without you having to follow up manually.
Search Form Display Options
You can customize the search tool that appears at the top of your Market Report page. This allows visitors to begin a property search directly from the page.
To adjust the settings:
- Scroll to Search Form Display Options and click Show
- Add a Search Header to explain what the search bar is for
- Choose your Search Form Type – options vary depending on your website template
- Set default options like property type or location, if supported by your template
Click Save when you’re done to apply the changes.
Footer and Banner Options
The Footer appears at the bottom of your Market Report page. It’s a great place to add your contact information, brokerage details, license number, or any MLS-required disclosures.
To create or assign a footer, visit our Footer Setup Guide.
Banners are optional call-to-action bars that appear at the top of the page. They can be used to promote a listing, announce an open house, or direct visitors to a lead magnet or form.
