Property Display Search Options - Add Listings to a Page

How to display current MLS property listings on a Real Geeks website page using Property Display Search Options.

Admin Feature

Editing the website is an account owner-level permission. If you don't see this option, contact your account owner to enable these permissions for you.

Use Property Display Search Options to add a list of properties to a page on your Real Geeks website. The listings automatically update with the MLS, helping visitors find fresh, relevant properties without requiring you to update the page manually.

  • Use MLS search criteria to control which properties appear.

  • Listings can appear above or below your page content.

  • The listings automatically update as property information changes in the MLS.

  • Create a search that closely matches the location or topic covered on the page.

Add Property Listings to Your Page

  1. Open your website editor by adding /admin to the end of your website address (e.g. www.yourwebsite.com/admin)

  2. Open the page you want to create or edit

  3. Under the Page Settings, open the Property Display Search Options menu.

  4. Complete the available property display settings:

    • Listing Header: Enter the text you want to display above the listings.

    • Number of Search Results: Choose how many listings will appear on the page.

    • Property Display Location: Choose whether the listings appear above or below the page content.

    • Create Search: Select the MLS search criteria used to find the properties you want to display.

  5. Click Save or Save and Continue Editing to apply your changes.

Best Practices for Building Your Property Search

Make your property search as broad or specific as the page requires. The listings should directly support the topic visitors came to explore.

  • Use AI Search to quickly build your search with simple, everyday language.

    • For example: Single-family homes and condos under $400,000 with three bedrooms in San Antonio, Texas. 

  • Focus on the criteria that define the page topic, such as location, price, property type, and number of bedrooms.

    • Use broad criteria for pages covering a larger city, area, or selection of properties.

    • Get more specific to create list of properties for niche pages like as Homes Near [BUS STOP] or Homes Between [MINIMUM PRICE] and [MAXIMUM PRICE].

  • Avoid unnecessary filters. A search that is too narrow may have few or no matching listings.

  • Review the results before publishing to confirm that the properties match the page topic.
